The painting represents a hidden message that life is beautiful and even during difficult times when you feel like dark clouds are gathered above your head and there is no hope – remember this is only temporary and challenging times will pass like clouds revealing the sun. There is always the sun above the clouds shining bright, waiting to be discovered. The Lighthouse is another symbol which shows the way out of a difficult situation.

I created this painting after visiting beautiful Glen Rosa on the Isle of Arran, one of the magnificent Scottish islands with an outstanding view. This moment of tranquillity was when I was sitting on one of the glistening rocks with my feet dipped into the fresh ice-cold water of the stream as I felt a deep connection with my surroundings.

This painting was created during one of the visits to the beautiful Isle of Arran. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the joy, bright light and enchanting beauty of that sunny day. Away from the busy and noisy city, encapsulated into medieval tranquillity and calmness observing Lochranza Castle. I wanted this painting to be an open window, a window into a world you can dive into and inhale freshness, calmness, and positivity.

Lochranza Castle is one of my favourite places on the Isle of Arran. Set against the calm waters and surrounded by fresh, emerging greenery, the castle holds a quiet, timeless presence within the landscape.

In this painting, I sought to capture the gentle atmosphere of the season—the soft light, the stillness of the loch, and the sense of renewal that spring brings. It reflects not only the beauty of the place, but also the peaceful connection I experience whenever I return there.

This painting was inspired by my visit to the Isle of Arran in the summer of 2025, particularly a walk to Sannox. The magnificent views of the Sannox hills, along with the experience of swimming in the natural pool, left a lasting impression on me. The landscape held a powerful energy—both vibrant and deeply peaceful—enhanced by the quiet beauty of the hills and the richness of the vegetation.

I wanted to capture and preserve these sensations in my painting. The process took time, evolving slowly through many layers of acrylic. With each layer, I revisited and reshaped the work, gradually refining its character until it reflected the memory and atmosphere I experienced.

The Isle of Arran is my endless source of inspiration. I am deeply drawn to nature and to painting it—seeking to capture not only what I see, but the fleeting moment, the feeling, and the atmosphere.

This is one of my favourite paintings, it reflects the moment of reaching the summit of Goatfell—exhausted from the climb, yet rewarded with breathtaking views.

The idea for this painting developed following my visit to the Isle of Arran in the summer of 2025. Exploring the island left a lasting impression—the shifting light, expansive shoreline, and its quiet, immersive atmosphere. In this work, I seek to evoke not only the visible beauty of the landscape, but also its deeper presence, shaped by memory, experience, and a strong sense of place. Through the gradual build-up of layered paint, I aimed to encapsulate the island’s beauty and atmosphere as they remained with me over time.

It is something about cloud formations that always attracted me. They never stay the same, they are always changing, and it is fascinating to watch this process. Scotland has the best cloud formations in the world, in my opinion. I never get tired of Scottish skies.

The inspiration for these paintings came from one snowy night during the lockdown in December, Scotland. It started snowing closer to midnight. The snowfall was getting heavier and heavier by the minute. It was magical. I found myself wandering in the snow for hours. It seemed like the whole world was sleeping and that time had stopped. Everything was covered in white candyfloss-like snow, which was glistening in the light of a full moon and occasional streetlights. The silence, the feeling of festive magic and solemnity were overwhelming. Soon azure morning arrived with its freshness, crispiness and unexplainable sense of purity and freedom. I wanted this painting to be like a portal into that majestic reality.
